LeAnn Kissner, Director
LeAnn@AcclaimPerformanceHorses.com
Phone: (262) 490-2887

LeAnn is the "lead mare" of the organization. She has been into horses since she was a child and is able to accurately gauge a horse's temperament and potential in a brief time. She has a great eye for confirmation and is very knowledgeable. Horses quickly come to trust LeAnn and she accepts them into her "family" as if they have always been. LeAnn's downfall it is her tendency to let every animal, not just human and equine, get under her skin and into her heart. Once you or your animal bonds with LeAnn you will have a place in her heart for life.

Jason Kisser is LeAnn's son, and comes by his horse sense naturally. "The natural" is a good way to describe this young man. He is a natural horse keeper some how sensing when a horse needs extra hay, grain, water, exercise, or attention. He is very astute, and can give you details on maintaining a building, equipment, or a healthy herd of horses. Jason is willing to ride any animal that is ready to be ridden and is able to stick to them all (so far). He shows his own horse through 4H and Open Shows, and is destined for great things.

Jessica Pfeifer, Ambassador
Jessica@AcclaimPerformanceHorses.com
Phone: (920) 285-0513

Jessica Pfeifer is a former Jefferson County Equine Ambassador, and current "Ambassador for Acclaim Performance Horses". She is LeAnn's daughter, and has grown up around horses, children, and the other animals her mom has "adopted". Jessie has personality and patience plus. She is easy going and unless you do something to hurt one of "her" horses or kids just does not get angry. She rides horses for the organization and is able to place "buttons" on almost anything. One of the things Jessie brings to the organization is her patience with kids. It is truly amazing to watch her take a scared or nervous young person and teach them how to find and use the "buttons" on a horse until they are self confident and willing to follow her anywhere. Jessica is a graduate of UW Madison and has tried to make a career for herself out of horses, but her need to be around them and interact with the kids and equines has brought her back into the business full time.

Rudy Hershberger, Equine Specialist
Rudy@AcclaimPerformanceHorses.com
Phone: (262) 593-8664

Rudy Hershberger comes to Acclaim from central Wisconsin. He has been working horses all his life and comes from a family that has raised and trained horses for generations. He adds calmness, and determination to his high expectations to deliver outstanding results. Rudy was a bull rider before joining Acclaim Performance horses and his instinct for animal behavior shows in the way he can pull any horse out of the pasture, groom it, and then have it willingly performing a variety of complex maneuvers. We can't wait to see what he does once Acclaim adds cattle and begins working our cattle horses on them.

Melvin Hershberger, Equine Specialist

Phone: (262) 593-8664

Melvin Hershberger is a young man with no fear who also knows how to use his brain. He, like Rudy, rides bulls for fun. He uses his skill with the bulls to ride our green stock. Mel likes to fade into the background and not call attention to him self. This can be hard since when he is in the arena everyone is waiting to see "some action". Fortunately for the horses (if not for the spectators) there is never too much action and while spectators may be disappointed Melvin and the horse exit the arena calmly.

Manny, Equine Specialist
Info@AcclaimPerformanceHorses.com
Phone: (262) 593-8664

Manny is Acclaim Performance Horses version of "the horse whisperer". He can take a horse that is barely halter broke and with his voice, hands and body language have the horse trusting him and following his cues. The most ornery horse on the place will stand still, let Manny walk up without restraint and run his hands over their body searching for a hidden injury, knotted muscle, or sore spot. Sometimes it seems as if the horses prefer Manny over grain (ok, maybe that is going over board).

M&M

Phone: (262) 593-8664

These 2 young men as a team bring life and energy to our facility. Together they bring a great start to a great future for many of our young horses. A typical "first day" for one of these horses will have Manny bringing the horse in off pasture and working it on a line getting it adjusted to the saddle and arena for an hour or so. Then Mel steps up and gets the horse familiar with him while Manny steps to the background. After the horse is comfortable Manny picks the line back up and Mel steps into the stirrups (both sides, one at a time) and then sits in the saddle. The line may remain with Manny the entire first ride, or if everyone is comfortable Mel will ride with no line attached. Unless you have seen these two young men work a horse that has never had a saddle on, you have not seen a horse "gentled". It is truly a sight to behold.
